Protecting your privacy as someone who is interested in eat:Festivals is important to us and we strive to keep all information relating to you confidential in accordance with this statement. As part of the normal operation of our services you may voluntarily provide us with information about yourself (“Personal Data”). The purpose of this Privacy Statement is to explain what Personal Data we collect about you, how that Personal Data might be used and how we protect your Personal Data and privacy.

WHAT DATA DO WE COLLECT AND HOW?

If you are merely visiting the public areas of our Website, we do not collect any Personal Data about you. However, we may automatically collect information about your visits, such as browsing patterns. Information collected in this way does not reveal your contact details or any type of Personal Data. This information is only used in aggregate form to analyse, manage and develop the Website and is not linked to any individual.

If you are on our newsletter mailing list, we will collect and hold certain Personal Data about you when you register. The Personal Data collected by us will include your name and e-mail address only. From time to time you may also provide other Personal Data, which we need to provide you with the service you request, such as your preferences or your experiences.

If you post comments or reviews on our Facebook pages or Twitter feeds, it is entirely up to you what Personal Data you disclose. Producers and Traders: If you have applied to trade at our festivals or requested to be added to our newsletter then we will hold your data and we contact you with information that we think is relevant to you. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the link at the bottom of the email or newsletter or by getting in touch at hello@eatfestivals.org. 

We use third parties such to provide you with certain services, for example:

  • MailChimp (for sending newsletters)

  • Wix.com (for listing producer details)

  • Google.com (for emailing)

  • Eventree (for applications)

  • Quick Books (for accounting and invoicing)

 

Everyone else If you have subscribed to our newsletter, we will only contact you with information that we think is relevant to you. You can unsubscribe at any time by clicking on the link at the bottom of the newsletter or by getting in touch at hello@eatfestivals.org.

We use third parties such to provide you with certain services, for example:

HOW WE SHARE PERSONAL DATA WITH THIRD PARTIES

If third parties are employed to manage the website, develop the site or manage your data on our behalf. They will be required to adhere to this privacy statement. If you have given us your details to be a volunteer or get involved, it may be the case a trusted group will be given your email contact for the purpose for which you have given us your details only. We will not give your details to any other third party for any reason other than is stated here.

Producers: We may share your information with our partners, including our sponsors, local authorities, media partners and venue owners where necessary to provide Services which you request or to support our promotional activity or as permitted by applicable law.
We may also disclose data relating to you to approved third parties for business analytics purposes.

We may share your personal data with service providers and contractors that we have retained to perform Services or work on our behalf. These parties are provided only with the minimum personal data needed to perform their functions, are not permitted to process personal data for any other purposes unless required by law, and are obliged to have adequate technical and organizational security measures.
